Ash's Swadloon is the sixth Pokemon obtained by Ash in the Unova region.
History[]
Swadloon first appeared as a Sewaddle in Sewaddle and Burgh in the Pinwheel Forest! where it was a wild Pokemon in the Pinwheel Forest. When Ash and friends appeared, it randomly attacked them, including Ash and Pikachu. Afterwards, Ash then tried to capture it, but was unsuccessful as it ran away. It reappeared and knocked Ash down after Ash and friends had met Burgh, the Castelia City Gym Leader, who had accompanied Sewaddle earlier as it is not his Pokemon at all. When Ash tried to say hello with the two sensory knobs on the head, Sewaddle tackled Ash, while saying hello to Iris, Pikachu, Axew, and Burgh. They followed Sewaddle in the forest, watching him eat and sleep.
When he started to eat fruit, two Woobat attacked him. Ash protected Sewaddle from the Air Slash attacks. Sewaddle and Pikachu then both scared off the Woobat. Sewaddle offered Ash some fruit and slowly showed little liking towards Ash. Even at night, Sewaddle slept in Ash's sleeping bag with him. Next day, a Patrat kidnapped him in order to heal his friend when Sewaddle's leaf had healing abilities. Sewaddle then got away, stuck on a Deerling that threw him off the cliff and into a river where Ash saved him. Ash asked Sewaddle to join his team and Sewaddle happily allowed Ash to capture him. But with seven Pokemon on hand, he stayed on the team while Ash's Pidove stayed with Professor Juniper.
In A Connoisseur's Revenge!, Sewaddle was confirmed to have the ability Swarm when Burgundy, a C-Class Connaisseuse, said that Swarm was very bad for a Sewaddle. She then told Ash that a Sewaddle with the ability Chlorophyll was best suited for him. When she told Ash to replace Sewaddle, it used String Shot on her in anger.
In Battling For The Love of Bug-Types!, Sewaddle was used in Ash's third Unova Gym battle in the Castelia City Gym. It battled Burgh's Dwebble, who defeated Tepig earlier, and defeated it as well. While battling Burgh's Whirlipede, Sewaddle evolved into a Swadloon, learning Energy Ball and defeated it in the process. Burgh's Leavanny defeats it with Leaf Storm.
